Mr. Khandekar has an experience of more than 35 years in working with one of the largest multinational insurance companies viz The New India Assurance Company Ltd. He started his career with The New India Assurance Company Ltd. as a direct recruit officer in 1985 and rose to become Deputy General Manager heading Pune Regional Office.

He has varied experience of underwriting, claims and marketing. His specialization was health insurance when he was heading Health vertical for 4 years in the Head office of NIA Mumbai. He has also been faculty in National Insurance Academy, Pune and Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai.

He has represented New India in various forums like GI Council and IRDA. Currently, he is a consultant to many corporates.
